'Adão caiu para que os homens existissem, e os homens existem para que tenham alegria'
'Adam fell that men might be, and men are that they might have joy'
I decided to start short and easy. But simplicity is often the best and this scripture certainly contains a lot of meaning.
How wonderful to know that to meet the 'end of our creation' or our purpose for being on this earth is purely to have joy. We're not here just to be told what to do or tick off a list of commandments, those things are only given to us to help us reach our end goal of joy.
We don't need to wait to have joy. The scripture doesn't say 'men will have joy when they get that red Ferrari, or when they obtain their dream job or when they marry the perfect spouse'. Instead it is a potential blessing for any of us, any of the time. I think joy is a choice and we can choose it every day.
